Just checked my Killzone2 pre order on play and its been dispatched. Could be here tommorow. Anyone else checked this. Looks like im playing it early.
For those mentioning companies sales maybe you should check out those figures. Yes Sony mad more money for EA in one quater of the year. Unfortunalty the rest of the year it was 360 all the way netting EA over a hundred million dollars more than they made from PS3. Same goes for Ubisoft.
Anyone who looks at the worldwide chart and sales figures can see the 360 is still selling more on the multi format front... not always but mostly.
Fallout3 nearly a million on ps3.. double that...
I must be the only person in the world who doesn't like streetfighter. Ive tried i really have but i just don't see what all the fuss about. I wouldn't have this if you gave it to me. Well thats not true i could trade it in i suppose.
Still haven't seen a Killzone ad on tv.. wtf.
The ps3 does have some great games to look forward to but i doubt it will hit second place in 09. it would have to see a million consoles a month between now and the end of the year. just saying.
Heavy Rain is probably my most awaited Ps3 game this year, fingers crossed for 09 release.
This is probably my most wanted game at present. Im really hoping Remedy pull it off. And if your watching Remedy... please don't dumb it down.

There both great. I use my 360 more as i have a lot of friends on live and love Mass Effect and Gears but my Ps3 gets plenty of use also.
Generally i use my 360 more for online play and my Ps3 for the exclusives like MGS4.
This and Alan Wake news in one day.. think im gonna explode. I thought the first Mass Effect was great. One of my favorite games this gen, really looking forward to this.
If its multi format the 360 version will be better. Always is. But unless your looking through a magnifying glass you will not notice so why argue.

I respect Valve as a software company.. well as much as one can but everytime i see a photo of Gabe i just loose all that respect.

I think Japan has dropped the ball a little this gen. Most of the great titles we have seen.. gears, Uncharted,LPB, Oblivion etc are all western. The japanese do have some great ones too but they seem to be trying to make last gen games for a next gen market.
Resi5 is a prime example. There are always exceptions. MGS5 and GT prolouge showed that with time and the publisher behind them great games can be made but overall i would say western developers are leading the field currently.
As the Ps3 is getting outsold by the 360 in Europe now ( since the price drop) the worldwide figures will propbably look worse.
Japan does help and to be honest i think the Ps3 is doing quite well considering the price. Come the price drop it will very interesting.
Well Stalker was open world and that was good, and farcry2 was generally very well received. O.D.S.T may well be rubbish though.. i like you will have to wait and see.
Back on subject... I have my Killzone copy on order and after playing the demo im sure i won't be dissapointed.
Halo O.D.S.T is open world so its different from the other halo's in that respect.
As for Killzone, i agree with the people here. It seems as though there judging it on the hype and not on the game itself. And being overly critical as a result.
The general talk is that it is much more of a realistic sim than gt or Forza.
It doesn't have the graphics of GT or the options of Forza but makes up for it in the racing.
No gimmicks, no fancy weather effects, just tracks, cars and times.
If your serious about driving games its going to be worth a look. If your into playing games for fun then maybe stick to Forza and Gt. Both great driving games also.
Reason its taking so long is because its avery small team working on it. Around 28 people.
I hate d-pads. Give me sticks anytime. Maybe thats why im crap at fighting games.
